Manage Your Diabetes In Winter. Safety Tips To Help You Do That

December 21, is the official first day of winter. That is, in the Northern Hemisphere.   Winter can be a challenge for those of us with diabetes. 



We do not walk as much, there are colds and flus to contend with.  And even the Holiday Season will bring with it many challenges, including stress.

So, you need to start thinking about what and how you can manage your diabetes better during this season.

Those Winter blues - We all experience the stress of the Holiday Season.  And, during the winter there are also the very short days.  It is dark in the morning, and dark early evening. This can also affect your blood sugars.

Check your blood sugar regularly.  If you are having issues managing your sugars,  talk to your health professional.  Or, if you have, your diabetes team.
