Why Diabetics Should Not Use Electric Blankets

There are very many complications and situations that come with Diabetes.  One of this is nerve damage, also known as neuropathy.  Excess blood sugar can cause injury to the walls of the small blood vessels, or capillaries that feed the nerves.  This causes tingling or numbness that usually starts at the tips of your fingers and toes.  This causes an alert for heating blankets.
